Archer Season 3 Review: Short and Sweet

I finally got around to watching the third season of Archer and to be honest, it wasn't as good as the first two seasons. Well, the first half of the third season wasn't as good, but the rest of it was pretty good.

Given how mediocre other shows are, the entire
season was better than all of Terra Nova combined.

Now, you're probably wondering why the third season wasn't as good and there are a couple of reason. One these reason is that it reused a lot of jokes from the previous season and while it was funny to see/hear references to the previous seasons, it didn't seem as funny. I felt that the writing was slightly uninspired.

Though to be fair to the writers,
I can't write half as good or funny as them.

I think one of the reasons why it felt slightly bland was because of the fact that it felt like the producers/writers thought they would be canceled after the season aired. I could be wrong, but that's what it felt like to me. However, good news is that it has been renewed for a fourth season with an apparent crossover with Bob's Burger, a show that Jon H. Benjamin also happens to be a voice actor for. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of crossover it is and how it is presented.

This is going to be fun

It's worth mentioning that there is a bottle episode so for those of you who enjoy bottle episodes, this is the season for you. If you're wondering if it's worth watching, it is, however, don't get your expectations too high up otherwise you will be disappointed  Other than that, there isn't much more to say other than that I really hope that the fourth season will be as good as season one and two, but only time will tell.
